Dreams Happen: Our Piece of Paradise- Part 3

HONEY, WE'RE HOME!
Through hardwork, dedication and help from our contractor (and my amazing husband) we've completely transformed the 1970s layout into an open floor concept. I won't lie or sugarcoat anything; the renovation took longer than expected and there were a few mishaps.

Check out the after pictures below!

A little bit a paint and floor stain updated the foyer. We still need to change out the light fixture.
We knocked down a wall to open up the former office, then ripped up the carpet and installed hardwoods, lights and a fan
Updated the fireplace in the living room and said so long to the brown carpet.
Had some custom built shelves installed in the awkward corner
Tore down the half bathroom and breakfast nook. We also added a few lights and the fan
Spruced up the cocina with some new appliances
New herringbone glass backsplash
Revamped breakfast nook
Hallway with new wood and paint

Guest room is ready for visitors!
First floor bathroom- my lovey installed the faucet, the light fixture and mirror
Up next is our favorite part of the whole house. We converted the deck into a screened porch.
As you know, bugs always find me. It could be the middle of winter and somehow a bug will bite me.
This new room is an extension of our living room.
Kel and I enjoy our coffee in the morning and cocktails in the afternoon; while Callie watches the birds. She's actually made a friend with a neighboring black lab who loves to bark.

Kel installed the TV and the exterior light.
We can even open the sliding doors and let the fresh air in (sans creepy crawlers).
Overall, we are very happy with the results. There won't be any renovations in the near future. So we are hanging up our tool belts for now. Thanks for letting us share our home with you.
