21 weeks- It's a BOY!

This Thanksgiving, we are extra blessed to be welcoming a little BOY to our pack.
Another Bears fan will be born.
I have come to terms that our son will never be a Washington Redskins fan. He will forever be a diehard Chicago Bears fan for life just like his father.
BLESSED.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we traveled to Pennsylvania to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Manuel Family.
The weather was surprisingly warm and there was not a cloud in the sky.
Little Kane stayed at home with Lolo and Lola while the big kids walked over with us to the neighborhood park to blow of some energy.
Keanu enjoyed his cup of tea before joining in the shenanigans.
While his sisters, Kalia and Kalea got right to the fun!
These kids are growing up way too fast.
A little playground selfie.
A surprise gender reveal for the cousins.
Playing on the human jungle gym. Poor Uncle Kelly.
Kalia was so a good little helper in the kitchen.
Lola sure appreciated one more cook in the kitchen.
Kane and I supervised and were the taste testers.
Can you believe Kane will be 2 in a few days!
What a feast! Let's eat!
Uncle Kelly can't catch a break. I am very thankful for this big turkey.
Lately I have been thinking about traditions and what our growing family can look forward too. I decided I wanted to start a new tradition of our own. I was searching through Pinterest and found The Family Tablecloth. There are not many things much more fun than gathering around the table to enjoy a meal with family or friends. I hope this becomes a treasure heirloom full of embroidered messages from years of dinner guests.
My intention is before the next holiday or celebration arrives, I needlepoint each mini artwork, readying the tablecloth for more. Yikes! That means I actually need to learn how to needlepoint.
I hope I can continue the tradition until there are no more white spaces left.

20 weeks!

The day has arrived!!!
We have been waiting patiently and full of excitement to see you again. The weeks have felt long but your little kicks let us know you are in there.
The technician asked right away if we wanted to know the sex- Yes!
She checked all your parts to make sure you were developing properly.
At 20 weeks you were measuring 13.4 cm, you weigh 13 oz with a heartbeat of 141 BPM.
Your knees were bent and almost touching your face.
You gave us a peak at your face.
Sweet but scary looking.
We saw your two little feet and a hand.
And there it was...the boy part.
I wish I could explain the happiness on my husband's face when he found out we were having a boy. The love of my life is going to raise our son to be just like him.
Someone pinch me from this amazing dream come true.

19 weeks

A little bit of sunshine feels good on the growing belly during this beautiful fall weekend.
Callie and I enjoyed the backyard while the soon-to-be Dad cleaned up all the fallen leaves and Callie's #2s scatter throughout the yard.
We are enjoying these last months of spoiling Callie before her duty as guard dog begins.
Only 1 more week until we find out if you are a girl or boy!

18 weeks

Someone has been extra snuggly this week.
I have a feeling Callie knows that she going to be a big sister.
She has been baking the baby to keep him/her warm.
Enjoy this quiet time now before you we all get no sleep.

Darcy and Chris get hitched!

Everyone's favorite girl got married!
A beautiful venue for an amazing couple.
The ceremony was breathtaking.
The newlyweds enjoying their first dance as husband and wife.
This was the only slow song of the night.
Just as Darcy and Chris planned the reception was one big party!
Family and friends all together to celebrate the Smiths.
Photo Booth pictures to capture the night.
So lucky to have spent time with these girls over the past few months.
Even 14 years later after graduate school, marriages & babies we still know how to have a good time.

17 weeks- Happy Fall!!

It's my favorite time of year and this season is even more special with our little pumpkin.
Thankful for a weekend in the DMV full of laughter, home-cooked meals and plenty of rest.
Love you Lola and Lolo!
