34 weeks

My amazingly awesome CREW Leadership sisters threw me a Baby Shower this weekend!
There were plenty of tasty treats and bubbly.
How sweet is this cake with little toys for baby Philip?
Cake? Don't mind if I do!
The ladies each gifted a children's book to help fill our library in the nursery.
I can't wait for Kelly and I to read these books to our little.
They gave us the jogging stroller!!!! They know me very well, this mama sure loves her walks and runs outdoors.
I know I have said it before and I will say it again. We are REALLY lucky to have all this support from our friends and family welcoming the arrival of Baby Boy Nyquist. Love you all!

Hi little one! Your Dad and I were so happy to see you today.
It's been awhile since we have seen you.
Today you are measuring 5 lbs 10 oz and with a heartbeat of 150.
Keep growing little guy, we need to you to stay put for a couple more weeks.
Your Mama took a Baby Essentials class at Northside this week.
I learned how to swaddle, change your diaper and burp you. I have come to terms with accepting that I'll just have to figure it out.
Our fur baby had a nice weekend playing in the yard stretching her legs after the cold winter.
7 more weeks until due date!

UCREW

I have been waiting for this moment for 2 years. This particular event was on my 2015 Leadership CREW vision board and I am thrilled that my vision is coming to fruition.
This year Whitney and I were the chairs for UCREW 2016...woohooo!! CREW Atlanta invited students to attend our annual UCREW educational program for college students interested in building a career in real estate.
I must say the event set-up was beautiful, everything really came together.
We had a small budget and asked for many donations from our members. From space and signage to beverages and gift cards. Everyone was very generous and together we threw a wonderful event for the students.
We invited students from all the local colleges & universities- Emory, UGA, Morehouse, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw, Superman, SCAD, GSU, Georgia Perimeter. Over 100 students registered for the event with only half making an appearance the day of the event.
There were 28 summer internships offered which the students could submit their resumes.
All the presenters did an amazing job. Claire Ross, CREW Atlanta's emerging young leader, kicked off the program.
Followed by a fabulous panel presentation feating Sarah Ellis- American Sun Control, Courtney Santry- Leanly Construction, Sofia Mendoza- JLL and Kimberly Morton-Ford-Colliers International.
Jamie Standard, Director of Human Resources from The Shopping Center Group gave a great keynote address outlining the job process from A-Z.
The students had an opportunity to sit with industry leaders to learn about the different careers in commercial real estate. There were 12 roundtables featuring 15 different disciplines and 1 table designated for CREW Atlanta.
There were 41+ CREW Members volunteers on the day of the event.
This year we added a photographer who offered to take professional head shots for the student attendees. We though offering professional photos to the students might help them create LinkedIn pages as they prepare for interviews for summer internships and begin the networking process in commercial real estate.
Finally, we got humorous, yet serious look at how to interview featuring Bruce Kellogg- MG Valuations, Jamie Standard and Sofia Mendoza.
The positive feedback is already during in and our memberships numbers are rising!

"Congrats on a fabulous UCREW event ladies!  You have certainly raised the bar moving forward. The energy and interest of the students was so inspiring. Loved the space and the headshots were a major hit!
We changed lives today.
Well done. You made CREW Atlanta proud.
Have a great weekend."

"It was very nice to meet you at the UCREW event today. I thoroughly enjoyed the event.  I was inspired to attend after meeting Diana Robinson from Colliers at a GSU business club meeting earlier this week. I think feed back is important, and I wanted to let you know how I heard about CREW. I am especially interested in the mentoring and leadership aspects of CREW. I am joining CREW today."
Kindest Regards,

My 2016 vision board includes gaining CREW Network exposure. Recently Whitney and I were asked to be on the 2016 CREW Network Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee, this is a huge honor! I feel blessed to have wonderful opportunities to represent my Leadership class and CREW Atlanta.

32 weeks

I wake up feeling like a zombie, take a shower and go through my morning routine.
Its the little things that I do to try and make myself feel human.
Blow dry my hair. Put on make up. Wear a semi-fashionable outfit. Throw on some jewelry.
Drive to work.
My energy feels low but my spirit is high.
I can't believe I am 32 weeks pregnant. Honestly, I try not to think about our infertility struggles and the journey that we went through. But I do so I can remember how far we have come.
I love you baby boy more than you will ever know.

Superbowl Sunday Snuggles
Bring on the snacks and sweatpants!
Baby boy is growing rapidly these days. I can feel ever kick and turn he makes.
His elbows and knees constantly swipe across my belly.
It's a blessing knowing he is moving around but he has got to let his mama sleep. For the past few weeks I have been awake for 2 hours every other night. I mean WIDE AWAKE. It is not fun! At around 3:30-4AM I fall back asleep only to wake up a few hours later to start my day.
I guess this is practice for the real deal.
