It took my awhile to find an organization that I shared a passion.
Over the past two years, I have dedicated my volunteer efforts to the Atlanta Women's Foundation. Dine-Around, Connector Pilot Program, Peer-Grant Review.
Did you know that in Atlanta alone over 81,000 girls and 320,000 women wake up in poverty each day? The Atlanta Women's Foundation's goal is to support local organizations that improve the lives of economically vulnerable girls and women. Through fundraising efforts, the AWF provides grants to these organizations after a grant review process.
This year I was a part of the committee for the 1st Annual Yogathon at Centennial Olympic Park.
The new and unique fundraising event brought together yoga enthusiasts for a day of yoga, health, community and fun. Seane Corn and nine of Atlanta's top yoga teachers led a day of yoga.
